Your gift may become the catalyst that opens the door to unlimited possibilities for our students. Now that we have our charitable status, we can do an annual campaign and issue receipts to any donors for their gifts to the school.
Often families do not have time to volunteer, and would rather donate than participate. Additionally they may have friends and family who would like to help out, but don’t know how.
By having a donation option, this helps by allowing them to support the school directly, without having too many other asks during the year. The work of this group is essential to the ongoing support and growth of self directed learning in our school. Consider how you can help and connect with us as quickly as you can, we look forward to working with you.
Our objectives as a charitable society are to advance the education of students attending Summit West Independent School by:
- a) Purchasing educational supplies and equipment to be used by the students and teachers;
- b) Funding extracurricular activities and other projects to enhance the educational experience of students;
- c) Providing bursaries to student’s whose families cannot afford the entire school fees and meet the bursary requirements.
How can you make a donation? Donations can be made in any amount, but will only be receipted over $20 during a calendar year (Jan 1- Dec 31). Donations must be made to “SWIS Education Society” and be received prior to the end of a calendar year. Receipts will be issued at the end of the year and issued prior to the end of February of the year following.
